Carolina Short
I started in 1991 as a free lance junior designer while I was studying Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires. From 1992 to 1996 I worked at Fontana diseño, a specialized design company in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I’ve started my new media experiences in 1994 as a free lancer for digital presentations. Later, in 1995 I did my first web design project. In 1996 I was hired to develop the first website for the Buenos Aires Book Fair.
In August 1996 together with Tomás García Ferrari I have started (bi)gital», a design company focused on digital projects and infodesign.
During ten months between 1998 and 1999 we were living in the Akademie Schloss Solitude, in Stuttgart (Germany) with a scholarship, selected by Prof. Gui Bonsiepe.
I have taught typography in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires as assistant of Prof. Carlos Venancio. I have worked also as a Guest Professor of New Media Design at the Burg Giebichenstein, Faculty of Design, Halle an der Saale (Germany).
I gave talks and workshops in several exhibitions, festivals, symposiums and conferences in different countries.
I have a Graphic Design degree from the University of Buenos Aires.
